I put this website together because I enjoy walking and had a number of GPX route files from walks that I’d either plotted myself or adapted from routes freely available online. They are all a bit random in their geographical coverage. All of the routes have been walked by me. Most routes are circular and can be walked by anyone with a pair of hiking boots, reasonable fitness and decent map skills or and/or experience using a handheld gps or gps app. Many routes are well signposted but others require a bit more effort.

The what3words address with each walk takes you to a place to park, unless otherwise indicated. Some parking will be on narrow roads; please park carefully and respectfully. See below for more information.

I will add walks to the site when I can. If you walk a route, please add a comment on anything that may have changed or be helpful to other walkers.

what3words

This website uses what3words to identify, for example, places to park and/or where a walk starts. what3words divides the earth into 3m x 3m squares and identifies each square with a unique three word sequence. If you have the app your smartphone will then guide you there. This is much more accurate than postcodes and more memorable than coordinates. You can click on the address for the walk to open the what3words website showing the location on a map, or download the app from the link below and the app should open automatically.
