This is a short, easy walk out to Rubha Ardnish. The weather was closing in and this seemed the safest bet! The route is easy to follow although there is no obvious path in most places – keep the sea on your left and follow the shoreline. The first few hundred yards is on the road through Waterloo. This was so named because the houses were originally built to home veterans returning from the Napoleonic Wars at the beginning of the 19th century. At the end of the road pass through a gate and turn left towards the sea.
There were plenty of seabirds to keep ornithologists interested and we had a great spot for lunch on the rocky outcrop at the end of the walk. Fabulous views.
You cannot go any further. Retrace your steps to return to the car park.
