An interesting and varied walk through woodland, over hills with lovely views and along the banks of the River Walkham. Until the beginning of the 20th Century the area was known for the mining of copper and tin and this walk passes some of the remains of this industry, including old mine shafts and quarries.

This was a really lovely walk, very varied and enjoyable. I started from Horrabridge itself so walked across the open Moor to join the route at the start. Did it anticlockwise, and then returned to Horrabridge along the cycle path (joining the Drake trail after crossing the bridge over it). Thank you for sharing this delightful walk in a quiet part of Dartmoor
